HYPER-V RDP to a VM on the same host

    Hi folks

Using RDP to access Linux VM in HYPER-V allows full screen etc - the standard connection method in connect from the HYPER-V menu doesn't have re-sizeable windows and screws up royally with large displays.

On the Linux machine install xrdp and togervnc-server, Start xrdp and then from windows logon to the VM via RDP

Old video (over 4 years), but still valid:

How to use RDP to connect to Linux, CentOS in this case, starting at 5:53.

    Hi there

    Thanks @Kari
It's just being new in using HYPER-V I didn't realize you could acces the VM via RDP as well -- strange thing is that BOTH a GUI session via the connect in HYPER-V console and RDP can run concurrently although if you try some GUI programs from both the vmconnect and RDP with the same user id logged on at the same time you can get some strange effects !!!. Things like konsole etc have no problems but trying to run TOR from both RDP and the vmconnect session gives messages - instance is running close one before starting another. !! Not unexpected. !!

    Cheers
