Can't upgrade my Windows 10 installation without deleting my prefs...

    @NavyLCDR - EmulcifiedSky claimed it's fully activated (post #5). Is that feasible starting with an evaluation build?

    Bear in mind there are two versions of 'English' Windows:
    Windows 10 English International version means it is in British English, also known and delivered as Windows 10 EN-GB. Windows 10 English is then the US English version, also known and delivered as EN-US.
    In OP's case, that is not the issue. As long as the system language is the same, upgrading with different regional version of that system language keeps all settings, data, installed software and user accounts.

    In-place upgrading EN-GB W10 with EN-US ISO is possible, as is for instance in-place upgrading FR-FR (French / France) with FR-BE (French / Belgium) or FR-CA (French / Canada) ISO, and PT-PT (Portuguese / Portuagal) with PT-BR (Portuguese / Brasil) ISO, to name a few examples.

    In all these examples, everything would be left intact, only regional version of display language would be changed, as is told when you run upgrade:

    Click image for larger version.

    When user accepts that, the next screen shows that everything will be left intact:

    Click image for larger version.

    I'm 99% sure the evaluation version does not allow upgrading from a previous build.
    Correct. Enterprise and Server evaluation versions cannot be upgraded.

    There's no legal way to activate Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation version.

    @Kari,
    The OP reportedly has a fully activated 1607 Enterprise that they are trying to upgrade to 180o. I don't think you can upgrade TO an evaluation version either though.

    As far as I have understood it, it's same both ways: evaluation cannot be upgraded, nor can it be used for upgrade.
