unusal options during manual install of 1809 over 1803

I upgraded my laptop from 1803 to 1809 yesterday with a downloaded UUPDump copy of the most recent version(17763.349) from a bootable thumb drive(Rufus) and it installed fine after the MS update to do this failed.
Last night during my freezone I started to do so on my PC which has the latest fully updated version of 1803, including the April 2019 updates.
I went to bed as the updates were taking a long time. This morning I went to finish the install and found that after getting all the updates it apparently went to the install page skipping the what to keep options page.
The "back button did not work so I clicked on the "change what to keep" option and when the options for what to keep came up they were slightly different.
The 1st option: "You will be able to manage your Windows settings". While everything is backed up I prefer to keep all apps and files.
The second option: "Your settings and apps will be deleted, but your files will be kept".
The third option: "Everything will be deleted, including files, apps, and settings".
The machine will not let me take a screenshot for some reason to post.
System health, SFC /scannow, dism/ checkhealth, chkdsk all were good before starting.

Why did you go to UUPDump? Did you know that the Media Creation Tool currently makes media for version 17763.379? The MCT can also make the usb on its own, no need for Rufus.

I have never waited for windows update to upgrade my machines, I always upgrade by using the MCT to make an ISO. Then I mount the ISO and run Setup to start the upgrade. For an in-place upgrade like this it is normal for it to skip the 'choose what to keep' step. By default an upgrade keeps all your installed apps and files. See the screenshot at Step 12 here...

With the massive ongoing issues with 1809 I used UUPDump to get the latest version as I do not know of a way to check which version MS has on their servers. I read multiple threads involving Kari, Slice-n Dice,-Cerebus, Tomcat, Caledon Ken, etc. about successfully using UUP Dump so I used it to get the latest. I normally use MCT using browser developer tools to get a WIM file. In looking at the three options in setup it appears that the first option is just missing the first line which is a blank box. While everything is multiple backed up I still prefer not to start over. I would do a clean install if I have to I just did not want to have to replace 300GB of data and 50 software titles on that PC. Old Alienware machine that I would replace if need be.

As I said, an in-place upgrade will always assume you want to keep all files and apps and skip the 'choose what to keep' screen. It should go straight to this screen from the tutorial with 'install...' and 'keep...' already ticked.

If that's not what you see then something has not worked as it should...

...an alternative is to take a photo of the screen with your camera or phone.
