    What are the status of the files on the drive?
    Have you been able to copy and paste or make a backup image?
    Some imaging software may display errors when there are drive problems leaving only copy and paste.
    Have you found a replacement drive?
    One more test can be performed: Sea Tools for Windows
    It has short and long generic and SMART.

    I didn't bother with the drive that's causing problems because it turns out that the when i removed that everything worked normally. The contents wasn't much important so it's ok!

    Glad to see it sorted.

    Check the Windows drive with several of these tools if not already done:
    HD Tune
    Sea Tools for Windows
    HD Sentinel
    Crystal Disk

    And make a backup image of the Windows drive:
    (Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.)
    There are free and pay versions depending upon the features needed.
