What Is The Difference Between A "Windows Reset" and A "Repair/Install
I am just curious ... what is the difference between the "Windows Reset" option under Recovery and a "repair/install"?

Repair install keeps all your installed software, your settings, user profiles and personal data, leaving them intact. Reset is more like a clean install.
Thanks for the quick response. i saw an option under "Windows Reset" to keep personal files, etc. or remove them. Keeping the personal files, etc. would be equivalent to a "repair/install". Removing them = clean install. Thanks again ...
No. A Reset will allow you to keep ONLY your personal files. It will remove all installed software that did not come with Windows (MS Office, for example).
A repair install is identical to doing an upgrade, except you are 'upgrading' to the same version you already have. It reinstalls Windows but keeps all your files and installed software intact.
