The dism /export-driver command is really only needed if you have drivers from other sources than Microsoft. When you reinstall Winodws, if you have any devices in device manager that don't get drivers from Microsoft via Windows Update, then you can manually update the driver for the hardware by pointing the update driver dialog to the "C:\destpath" that you exported the drivers to.Code:C:\WINDOWS\system32>dism /online /export-driver /? Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.18362.1 Image Version: 10.0.18362.1 /Export-Driver /Destination:<path_to_destination_folder> Export all third-party driver packages from a Windows image to a destination path. Examples: DISM.exe /online /Export-Driver /Destination:C:\destpath
You got the 1803 v. 1809 error message, probably, because you were running the dism contained in the sources folder of the Windows 10 USB flash drive instead of the dism command actually installed in C:\Windows\System32 of your computer.
