    Can't Install Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.18356.16 (19h1_release)

    Hi,
After several attempt's, I still can't seem to get the version showing in the thread/question title of this post to install on my laptop. I'm currently running Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.18351.26 (19h1_release) x86, when I try and install the later version..it reaches around 56% and then just restarts and boots to the version I've already got installed. Maybe my laptop is just not suited to accept a newer version. When I do try and install the later version I receive the following code's ( 0x8024000b on one failed attempt, and 0x80242016 on two failed attempt's ). It may in fact be something simple, but so far I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for any help that might be provided.
    David

    Update:
This is the computer that I'm referring to, not the one that's showing in my system specifications:
    Computer Type Laptop
    System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba / Satellite L505D
OS Windows 10 Pro Version 1903 Build 18351.26
CPU AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-65,2100 Mhz
    Memory 3.00 GB

Here is an article that might help

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/win...dy_UpgradeTips

You will notice a tool called SetupDiag. Try running that and see if it gives you any clues.

    Exact same error here.

SetupDiag reports error code: 0x800705B4 ERROR_TIMEOUT This operation returned because the time-out period expired.

Not sure what timeout it is referring to?

For red5goahead this thread matches your issue.

They have a couple of suggesting might be worth trying.

This second thread also talks about old users and deleting APPX Cache.

deleting the appx Cache for those users solved the Problem.
(deleting SID - Sub keys of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx\AppxAllUserStore)

Not sure which keys they are referring to in the TechNet article?

SetupDiag was unable to match to any known failure signatures.

I am getting the same error as the above mentioned. Is there a resolve for this yet or not? I have deleted all other users in order to get rid of the appx caches entirely. MS needs to resolve this soon!

Only fix I can find is to manually install the update or wait for MS to unbug it.

    Hi All,
Just to keep you updated..I installed some software titled ' Reset Windows Update Tool ' (Reset Windows Update Tool - Troubleshooting for Windows Update). After running several of the option's in that software, now my laptop has been trying to install a different build
( Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.18362.1 (19H1_RELEASE) x86 ), so far it hasn't installed this build properly either. It tries to install it, but after reaching 58 %..I receive the restart prompt and then it just boots up to the version I already have installed ( Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.18351.26 (19h1_release) x86 ). At this point in time, I guess I'll just take a wait and see attitude, I'm wondering if my laptop is just too outdated to install the desired build.
    Thanks,
    David

It is not your PC, there is a glitch in the 10.0.18362.1 update where most hang around 7 or 8% that MS is aware of.
