Windows Update Service not installed error: 0x80070424

    Hi,

There are several problems, so i will start by addressing the main one,

i cant update windows, since, my headphones are connecting but not showing up on playback.

I had to manually install windows store using command, and cant install any apps it says unknown error on store.

i get black screen to start with after login, then it takes a good 5 min or so for taskbar to appear, meanwhile alt cntrl del and running chrome or even file explorer works but still very in convinient.

also i did a windows re install using the inbuilt settings options

and all the above mentioned issues started after the re installation

and i re installed due to
    periodic wifi disconnection
which is also very weird because
    the wifi doesnt really disconnects
it cuts off my internet access only
    and pages wont load

it cuts off in game connection too if i am in game online.

    after reinstallation

it still happens but happens less.
,ostly after a long session on my pc roughly 6-8hrs,
    then i need a restart

if ingame online then reconnecting the wifi works to reset the game server connection but webpages dont load until i restart.

    i downloaded this

    Microsoft Update Catalog

    the last one

and i get this error when i open the file

Windows 7: Windows Update Service not installed error: 0x80070424
the specified service does not exist as an installed service

also defender wont open got avast i think avast got taken down now as well interface wont open
    file in attachment

would really appreciate any help fixing up my system, thank you

ran FSS which was suggested from a windows7 forum page

Windows Update Service not installed error: 0x80070424 - Windows 7 Help Forums

    and got the following output

    Hello, welcome to tenforums.

Did all these problems suddenly start to occur, or is this an accumulation of problems over some time?

Please first check your disk - e.g. Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) - and post a screenshot of its GUI.
To post a screenshot please use the Insert Image icon above your post.

If ok, from an admin command or Powershell prompt run
    chkdsk c: /scan
and post just the summary result

What is your Windows build? Windows key +r, winver
Sadly so many people don't include it, and unfortunately it's not a forum requirement.

i did a windows re install using the inbuilt settings options
    Presumably you mean Fresh Start
Fresh Start Windows 10 | Tutorials
    or
    Windows 10 Help Forums
from the multiplicity of your problems I suggest you are looking at doing a clean install, provided the tests above pass.
    Windows 10 Help Forums
to do this you will need to download a Win 10 iso file and create a bootable disk. The latest available build is 1809.

To give yourself a chance of recovering quickly from bad situations to a previous good working state without technical help, fairly quickly, even if your disk fails, you should use disk imaging routinely.

Macrium reflect -free- + large external storage- is recommended extremely frequently here.

    hey,

as i tried to explain earlier, most of the issues happened after i did a fresh start once,

    hoping to solve the
random disconnection from online in game servers when i game,
and web pages not loading, while wifi is connected and going to the server not available page.

i was thinking it was the macfee antivirus firewall or proxy that came with the system,
got rid of it didnt solve the problem,
    then did the fresh start.
    and it got worse.

i am guessing quite a bit of it is to do with driver software and upadates.

and after a while now windows defender isnt openning up from the task tray,
    but avast is working.

i am gonna try and get rid of avast and see if defender starts to work again.
since avast is set as default atm.

    thanks.
