Can't do clean install on SSD

I keep getting "We couldn't create a partition or find and existing one". i already made a partition with Diskpart and verified it exists. I disconnected the other hard drives and still get the error. Is there something I have to change in the BIOS?

What kind of machine do you have? Does it have a BIOS or UEFI? Do you see the drives when looking in the BIOS?

The BIOS is UEFI. The SSD shows up in the BIOS without any problems. I created the partition with Diskpart with the Win 10 install disk command prompt

Had you considered using a USB with a Windows 10 iso after making an unallocated drive (deleting all partitions)?

    Follow this link:

If you prefer to clean the drive, then create a partition on the drive to install the iso for it to install Windows that is another option. The easiest though is having a bootable Windows 10 iso and having the iso create all of the partitions.

I figured it out but had to google it for awhile. I'm surprised the solution wasn't everywhere. For clean installing Windows 10 it only likes disks fresh out the pack with unallocated space with no volumes or partitions. I previously had it a Win 7 machine.

    That was the solution. Thanks
