Just installed Win 10. Did I wind up with an extra unknown partition?

I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 to a fresh SSD.

When I look at the drive in disk management I get three partitions as shown below:

However, when I use Macrium Reflect to create a backup image I get four partitions as shown here:

The system seems to be running just fine, and I can create system backups with Macrium Reflect that it tells me are good, but my concern is, with this seeming mismatch in partitions, if the time comes that I need to restore my system, it won't work.

Can anyone explain to me what's going on here and whether or not there is something wrong with the way my system is set up, or at least reassure me that I don't have a problem.

    Thanks.

No, there's nothing wrong. That is how a UEFI system is supposed to look. The small 16MB partition is the Microsoft Reserved (MSR) partition. This by design is not shown in Disk Management. More here on Wikipedia:

By the way, congratulations on having the foresight to use Macrium to make a system image.

    Thanks for the reassurance.

As to Macrium, I wouldn't leave home without it, so to speak. On my old Windows 7 system I did nightly automated backups of both system images and data. It's saved my butt more than once. Plan to do the same with this new system.

A very good approach to avoid headaches.

Yep, make images and you `ll never have to do a clean install again, unless you want to.

And if your drive decides to die, you lose nothing, all you have to do is buy a new drive and re image

And I would say, make Full images, not Differential images.

Watch each screen as you go (slowly) and you`ll see both options are already check marked, just un check Differential.
