    Hello NavyLCDR

Should I do that on a separate USB stick, or the same one with Kyhi boot rescue? I prepared that one by decompressing the Kyhi iso file onto the USB stick. I can boot from that on the laptop, and that is where I am now. It looks like what diagnostics I have been able to do have favorable results.
At this point, I'd be happy to simply install Win 10 PRO anew and start fresh.
I can prepare the windows media iso on a USB stick tomorrow.
    Suggestions?

    And many thanks,

When you were using Kyhi boot rescue were you able to download and install HP Hardware diagnostics Windows?
Please post an image of the system fast test and preferably the system extensive test.

I would suggest keeping it simple, if you have a second USB flash drive. Just make the standard Windows 10 installation flash drive using the manual method I posted. Then attempt to install Windows from it using the method I provided.

Where do I download and install HP Hardware diagnostics Windows?
I did all the other diagnostics I could find / was able to run. Didn't come up with any failures.

Might be time to just attempt to install Win 10 PRO from USB stick?

    See post #8
    Step # 14

The link is located in the right upper portion of this web page:
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Official Site

The hardware testing that was performed was what was available in the BIOS.
This is a HP downloadable version. It has different tests.
For example it does not have RAM testing but has testing for:
    Drive, CPU, Video, etc.
