Remove a PC from accounts Microsoft device, can you easily add it back

I am talking about devices that are activated with a digital license linked to your account.
If you remove it from the web site where it is listed under your account, and then go to add it back in to your account, does it just reactivate on your account without having keys or codes or doing anything special, as in it remembers the device used to be linked with a digital license to your account?
If you delete it from your online account, does the device loose its activation?

I was thinking what if I accidentally deleted it, or someone who had access to my account maliciously deleted it from my account. See, I have no clue about any activation key etc...anymore.

screen of the relevant management page.

It will not lose activation and as soon as you log back in to that computer with your MS account, it will show right back up on your account.

Thanks, so what does the activation wording then say if the PC is deleted from your online account?
Does it still say it is digitally activated and linked to your account?

What happens if you remove it from your account, you do a fresh install wiping the drive (or use a new drive), then log in using your Microsoft credentials, does it activate automatically?

The activation of Windows actually has nothing at all to do with the Microsoft account. The digital license for Windows on that computer is stored on Microsoft activation servers, not in Microsoft account. That is why it is possible to activate a computer with just a local account without requiring a Microsoft account. Each computer has its own unique hardware ID, determined mostly by the motherboard make, model and serial number. Once a valid product key is validated for Windows on that computer, the unique hardware ID of that computer is saved on Microsoft activation servers along with the digital license for the version of Windows installed.

If you do a clean install of Windows on that computer and skip entering the product key, the hardware ID is sent to Microsoft activation servers. The hardware ID is matched with what is already saved on Microsoft activation servers, and if the version of Windows installed is the same as before, the digital license is returned and Windows will activate itself. This will happen both with local accounts created on the computer and with Microsoft accounts. The digital license itself is stored on Microsoft activation servers, not in your personal Microsoft account.

You log into the computer with a Microsoft Account and a link is added to your Microsoft account for the computer, but the digital license is not actually stored in the Microsoft Account. Someone else logs into the same computer with a Microsoft account, and a link is also added to their Microsoft account to that computer. Actually the links are created to that specific account on that computer.

What is stored in the Microsoft account is just a database of information about the computer and the matching Microsoft account on that computer. That database does include a pointer to the digital license stored on Microsoft Activation which enables copying the license for Windows to another computer via the Microsoft account if the user logs into a computer that has Windows that has not been activated on it yet. The typical scenario for that is if the user replaces the motherboard in their own computer.
