What do you need to do with the new computer boot manager?
Well, I guess I really don't NEED it. My desktop has the boot manager image that
I included in my OP. My spouse's companion laptop has nothing like that. If I want
to modify the boot sequence, I have to dig up the key sequence, remember it, or
write it down. I did do this exactly earlier, and it is much easier since the laptop
was replaced Q2/2018. The previous laptop almost required three hands to signal
    the necessary key sequence.

    Thanks,

With one or more of these methods there should be more information about the drive:

    1) Open disk management > by default there are two compressed columns > widen each Status and Volume so that the characters in each row are in full view > double check Status and make sure that the letters within the parenthesis are in full view > post an image into the thread

    2) Open file explorer > this PC > post an image into the thread

    3) Open administrative powershell and type or copy and paste:

    a) Get-PhysicalDisk | Select -Prop DeviceId,FriendlyName,SerialNumber

    b) (copy and paste all commands at one time)

    Code:
    diskpart
    list disk
    list volume
    select disk 0
    detail disk
    list partition
    select disk 1
    detail disk
    list partition
    select disk 2
    detail disk
    list partition
    select disk 3
    detail disk
    list partition
    select disk 4
    detail disk
    list partition
    select disk 5

    4) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    zbook,

I appreciate your suggestions, but I do really have some reservations
in posting this varied internal information on a very public forum.

Although, I will say that everything was going well with the collection,
until I reached #4. In brief, 3a completed just fine. And the C&P for
    3b seemed OK also.

However, after all the diskpart subcommands had been processed,
the command line returned again to diskpart prompt. After a couple
eol responses, I chose to "end" which was interpreted as "help" |"?" ,
and gave me the full subcommand list. In earlier atempts, I also tried
"exit" which ended diskpart, leaving the subcommands processed by
    PS. That wasn't pretty.

At the ending of this post, is my most recent attempt example.

Apparently, this "boot manager", that I imaged in my OP, may be
something that can be enabled|disabled in the UEFI. I'll be check-
    ing that out further.

Again, thank you for your contribution(s), and assistance.

For the diskpart command it worked as you commented.
Sorry, for not separating it into two commands.
Instead: type diskpart as the first command and wait for a response.
Then copy and paste the other commands as one unit.
There should be immediate displayed results.
If there were more commands than drives it can be seen in the results.

Alternatively the commands can be typed one at a time.

    Code:
    list disk
    list volume
    select disk 0

    list partition
