Hi all, I recently purchased a Dell Optiplex 790 PC , it has windows 10 and the key is on a sticker on top of of the PC, it's replacing my HP compaq 7700, my HP has a 250GB SSD with windows 7 pro, I want to use the SSD in my Dell, so I need to reinstall windows 10, can I do this for free since the new PC has the key?? if so,how would I do this when the PC won't surf the net after installing the SSD for a download??

You could clone the Dell HDD to the SSD and then install as boot.
You can use Macrium Reflect to clone. Some SSD's like Samsung provide software for free to clone to SSD on their web site.

Nice thing about Macrium Reflect is you can Image your windows 7 to an HDD so you can load it again. (Recommended)
If you want you could also clean install on SDD using this tutorial. You download and create USB Thumbdrive while devices are still working.

If you plan on keeping HP you could also upgrade Win 7 to Win 10.
