Which tool to recover the EFI partition? Booted into Rescue Disk

My EFI is blown away. The rest of the disk is good.
I have a thread going in 'general' but this is also relevant as it's kind of an upgrade you might say.

    I am overwhelmed by options.

There is diskpart, Macrium Reflect on the rescue disk, Bootrec.exe tool... what else.
I am getting nervous running diskpart and rebuilding the EFI with it.

If Windows 10 installed HDD missing a EFI System Reserved partition you can create one by following below instructions.

Please boot your computer with Windows Installation Media and from Windows Recovery Environment start the Command Prompt.

From Command Prompt execute below commands one at a time:

    Code:
    Diskpart

    List Disk

    Select Disk 0

    List Partition

    Select Partition X

    Shrink desired=100

    Create Partition EFI

    FORMAT FS=FAT32 LABEL="ESP"

    Assign Letter=W

    Exit

     bcdboot C:\Windows /s W: /f ALL
Use "List Disk" command to find out disk number assign to Windows 10 installed drive.

Replace number 0 zero with disk number assign to Windows 10 installed drive

Use "List Partition" command to find out Windows 10 installed partition assigned number.

Replace X letter with Windows 10 installed partition assigned number.

You may need to replace C: drive letter with Windows 10 installed partition drive letter.

I have to warn you Diskpart tool is very dangers so please make sure to execute Diskpart command carefully.

If I select part and then do a "det" on it, it says it's healthy, why do I need to format it.

There is clearly an issue with the bcdedit, as when I try bcdedit, I get this. Could it be just the BCD stuff is messed up?

The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
The requested system device cannot be identified due to multiple indistinguishable devices potentially matching the identification criteria.

You mean after designating the partition as "W:"?

Let me ask, is it safer to follow this procedure? I have Macrium Reflect and up and ready to configure the drive:

You can try Macrium Reflect to repair the EFI partition.

Is there any possibility of things going wrong? I am very concerned about data loss.

what exactly does it do? I have it ready to go, just hit "OK" on it and will run but I would like know what operations it performs.

Also, I have this question, should I assign "W:" to the partition or volume? Of disk 0?

I have seen instructions either way.
