11 Dec 2018 Windows 10 Updates

Well a bit of an update. Since I had no desktop found problem as well, this created quite the mess. Going to the start menu I found that a majority of the programs would not run. Since I have no way of going back to an old restore point or even an older backup (Start Menu Programs wont work), I have decided to try and reinstall Windows 10 Pro from an old Media. I found that it would not take as a newer version is avail. Downloading it under Windows Setup as we speak. Probably a stretch, but if this works but still can't get any programs to run, it will be time for a fresh install.

I still fail to understand why the desktop disappeared or why a mouse or Keyboard is not functional. I have no wired mouse or keyboard available. Also since no programs seem to work any old backups wont work either.

Is there something I am missing, but sure never had this problem before and this is the only upgrade that failed out of 3 machines. I guess it was just my luck.

Well the latest update of 1809 has fully restored everything back to normal. I have my desktop back and all the desktop shortcuts are working as well as Start Menu Programs.

Why didn't I think of doing this a couple weeks ago, would have save me from pulling out my hair and scratching my head.

Consider this case closed.
