    Welcome to TenForums Robert,

You may (or may not) be able to use the original OEM Win7 factory reset. That depends on whether or not the OEM recovery partition still exists and whether the OEM recovery software or Function key still works after upgrading to Win10. This depends very much on precisely which manufacturer and model you have.

But I assume you don't want to get Windows 7 back, presumably you want to keep Windows 10 and remove all personal info and data from that. To do that, see this tutorial.

    Remove everything
    • This is to reset Windows 10.
    • Reinstalls Windows 10 and removes all your accounts and personal files.
    • Removes apps and drivers you installed.
    • Removes changes you made to settings.
    • Removes any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10, apps from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)
    • If you're planning to donate, recycle, or sell your PC, use this option and choose to fully clean the drive. This might take an hour or two, but it makes it harder for other people to recover files you've removed.

You didn't specif the model PC in your specs, but if it is an HP, then the answer is NEITHER -- because the Win10 Upgrade is known to corrupt the Recovery files. If you then try to do a factory reset, that will end up leaving your PC in a corrupted state and only a fresh reinstall from HP Recovery Media will fix that.

You can of course do a Win 10 reset.

And if you wish to keep all progs and data but repair Windows you can do an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all programs, data and most settings.

(Won't fix problems related to individual accounts). You need an iso of the same language, base build and x32 or x64 as appropriate.
