    To see what is inside each partition or volume you can use the dir command or click explore using the Minitool partition wizard.
    For any hidden partition sometimes you can assign a letter to view the contents.

    Examples:

    select partition 9 (change 9 to the applicable number)
    assign letter=B:

    Once the letter is assigned you may be able to explore using the mini tool partition wizard.
    The minitool partition wizard software often needs to be closed and reopened after the assigned letter.

    reagentc /info tells you what Recovery partition your OS is hooked to. You can do as you please with the other. I usually delete it and add the space to the new one, if they are adjacent.

    Since mine two partitions are at opposite ends of the drive it's not worth the effort to reclaim 499MB as reagentc /info points to partition 5 (of 5).

    IMO, this has nothing to do with $MRCBT file. This file is created by Macrium Reflect in SVI Folder in every disk in your PC to store info to speed up Incremental and Differential backup and should not affect the creation of extra Recovery partition. I only use full backup since it only takes < 3 minutes so I remove the CBT Driver hence $MRCBT will not be created in SVI folder. FYI, if you only use Full Backup then you can disable the CBT service by running:     "C:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect\MrCbtTools.exe"->File->Remove CBT Driver to save system resource.

    As for the the extra Recovery partition. Couple of reasons why it is created.
    1. If the Recovery partition was customized by the manufacturer to include the push button restore
    2. If fresh install Windows 10. You probably had the Recovery option disabled (Reagentc /info) before performing the upgrade.


    For those who want to eliminate the extra Recovery partition:
    1. Run Reagentc /disable.
    2. Use diskpart to delete the extra Recovery partition.
    3. Use 7-zip to open install.wim then copy 2 files under Windows\System32\Recovery: WinRe.wim and Reagent.xml to C:\Windows\System32\Recovery folder
    4. Run Reagentc /enable. This will put back WinRe.wim to the original Recovery partition (Partition 1)

    Thanks, @topgundcp. Good approach! I'm going to clean install next month, and use "proper" partition ordering anyway, with the WinRE following after the OS partition, as MS recommends (but doesn't do by default itself, ha ha!).

    With legacy BIOS I notice 1809 has created a larger reserved partition following a clean install. 500MB to 549MB. Not sure if that's of any use to anyone but just thought I'd mention it.

    Reading this post got me confused again lol
    I looked into Disk Management and seen a lot of partitions.
    I see 4 linked to my M.2 NVME 250GB > 231.53GB, Partition 2 > 99MB, Partition 5 > 822MB, Recovery 450MB
    D: not affected 1TB
    E: 320GB > Partition 2 > 450MB, 297.64GB
    G: 500GB > Partition 2 > 450MB, Partition 3 > 450MB, 464.88GB
    H: was not affected 1TB

    Didn't notice all them there before lol.
    Is it normal to have a 822MB OEM partition on my C: if I have a retail version of Win 10 installed?

Hope no one objects to asking 2 differnet queries in one? 1. In the start menu - Apps isn't showing 2. I used to be able to drag a url to the desktop for easy referencing later (as in send to dektop create shortcut) Neither work?
