Windows 10 Update keeps failing 0x8007001F - 0x20006

I have just ran scannow and restore health on 1809. Here's the logs:

I have turned off fast startup. No need to worry, I don't need it (using an SSD which is fast enough for me).

Windows successfully installed all updates now.

The results look fine.

If not already done please choose one of these to make a backup image:
Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon
There are free and pay versions depending upon the desired features.

The computer has some Paragon software.

Save the backup image to another drive (do not use another partition on the same drive) or to the cloud.

With the backup you should have significant recovery options in case of:
corruption of the operating system
corruption of the component store
corruption of the registry
corruption of the drive file system
failure to boot
ransomware
malware
etc.

I just ran into this update issue

0x8007001F – 0x20006 “The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during REPLCIATE_OC operation”


when trying to update Windows 2016 LTSB to 2019 LTSC.


What worked for me to was to mount the ISO for the currently installed version of Windows (2016 LTSB) and run the installer, and then select 'keep files and apps'. Once this completed, I was able to do an in-place upgrade to the new version of Windows (2019 LTSC) as normal, keeping files and apps.

Maybe useful to someone I hope!

It rebooted, installed, and booted with a welcome screen saying "preparing a few things for you..." etc.
For the record all my apps, programs and files are intact.

b) I cannot move the dot after clicking automatically manage paging file size. For my C: drive, it seems it's already checked though, but not for my B: drive (for B: it's "no paging file")

The settings are intact after a reboot :)

I had the exact problem like you. However, the in place repair using the exact same version also fails.
i'm not so sure about the version because my system is on 1709 (16299.192), but the Fall Creators Upgrade 2017 seems to be 1703? Cant find any 1709 iso anywhere.
