Install Windows / update without a load of Ms Tiled apps

    Hi folks

is there a way to create a custom install so that a load of Ms apps don't appear (or are even installed) as tiles.

On a professional system bubble witch 3 saga etc isn't very wanted - plus a load of Xbox / games etc.

Install Windows / update without a load of Ms Tiled apps-desktop.png

Basically just want News, weather, calculator and maps

It's a pain if one has to manually do this on a load of machines etc

Maybe @Kari -- is there a way of sysprepping an install from say a reference machine that has products such as Ms Office and some other 3rd party stuff as well as language packs already installed (OK users will have to activate - no prob there as keys can be given out -- Ms is moving away from KMS to click and run versions).

Basically all user should have to do after logon is just activate any product that requires activation and then be good to go.

    Thanks

    Cheers

My preferred method is to create highly customized ISO or USB install media with preinstalled software for a completely "hands-free", unattended install. I've made a tutorial for it here: Create media for automated unattended install of Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

Skip Part Three in tutorial if you prefer manual Windows Setup and partitioning instead of completely automatized ones.

When in Part Seven, you can install your preferred language packs. If at least one language pack is installed and you skip language and region settings in two answer files made in parts Three and Four, this selection will be shown when Windows is installed from your custom image, before OOBE starts:

Install Windows / update without a load of Ms Tiled apps-image.png

OOBE will then setup Windows in selected language. However, parts Three and Four show how to automate this, too

What is not told in tutorial is the step I do just before sysprepping (before tut step 7.8). I remove all Store apps except Store itself from current account, plus from all future user accounts as told in Option Four, steps 4 and 5 in this tutorial: Uninstall Apps in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

Just don't panic, you will see a lot of red warnings in PowerShell when removing apps. It's normal:

Install Windows / update without a load of Ms Tiled apps-image.png

When I then deploy from my custom image, as Store was not removed I can install only those Store apps I want to have.

You only need sysprep one reference machine and capture the image, then use it to install on those 11 machines :)
