Upgrade HP Envy 23-k011 to SSD

I would like to replace the HDD of the HP Envy Recline with 500GB SSD . No bios or hardware issues . I prefer to rearrange the HDD and clone it rather than clean install to save the time to reinstall each program I have on it. Please see disk partition . I will remove F and G to external disk . But need advise how best to rearrange the remaining partitions , deleting all unnecessary ones to create a single C: drive for cloning or imaging ( not sure which is best approach) . Thanks

Well...Try deleting disk 0 partition 2 and disk 1 partition 1 as the free space is 100%. You could probably move the free space to C: or g:.
Then try moving all files on disk 0 partitions 5 and 8 to Entertainment G: and delete them, as I don't think they are useful in first place. Leave the recovery image and Windows RE tools alone. Save them for recovery. Before you do a clean install, move all files expect the system ones to G: or F:.

This is what I would do:
Disk 0 Partition 2 appears to be an EFI System partition. Copy that to the front of the SSD. Then copy your C: drive partition over.

Then put the old HDD in a SATA to USB 3 enclosure, about $20, connect it as an external drive and the you can start cleaning it up.

What do you mean by "Copy" The EFI and C drive partitions? What software to use? Macrium or something like it.

Copy and clone are the same thing. Macrium is one program to do it, and if you boot from a Macrium rescue USB flash drive, it also has the utility to fix Windows boot problems that you might need.

So I will use Macrium , since I already have a Win PE10 Rescue usb made for this computer. Maybe I'll make a new one just before I do the upgrade. I think this is an easier upgrade to do than the Sony Vaio Computer you have been advising me in another thread.

    1) Please post another image of disk management using the steps in this link (widen two columns: Status and Volume)
Make sure that the characters in each row are in full view and that none of the letters in each row are cut off.

See if you can widen the disk management so that the characters with the disk 0 row are in full view and so that none of the text is cut off. Also widen Windows C: status column so that primary......displays the full txt and there are not cut off words/letters.

When available please post a beta log collector zip into the thread.
