    Can't get into ACER UEFI

A friend gave my brother an ACER desktop PC and he asked me to check it out and see about updating it to the newest win 10 version.....The problem I'm having is I can't get into the Bios/UEFI to change the boot order to boot from a Microsoft USB stick with the latest version 1803.

Everytime I restart it and hit "Delete" key it shows the UEFI for about a 1/2 second then it goes back out and keeps doing this around every 20 seconds or so and never goes into the UEFI.....The PC works great in every aspect when your not trying to get into the UEFI.
So anybody have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong.....Please let me know what you think.....Below are the PC specs.

    2014 ACER Aspire x / AXC-603G-UW15 - Desktop
    Current OS is Win 10 Home 64-bit version:1607 14393.2214
    1 TB HDD / 4 GB ram
    Intel Pentium 2.41 GHz

Try a different route to the UEFI:
Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Restart Now > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > UEFI Firmware Settings > Restart.

For Booting from a USB stick, similar route, no need to change boot order on mine:
Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Restart Now > Use a Device > EFI USB device.

Yeah I already tried that Helmut but I always get the same result...I've never seen this happen before so I'm at a loss as to what to do.
Right now I'm trying it from the Microsoft website to push it thru but it's at around 2 hrs and counting and is at 90% so I have my fingers crossed!

I don't know the info on your board but it sound like someone has changed the setting to boot into the bios setting. What I would do is try to reset the bios back to default by taking out the Cmos battery, also look for the jumper pin on the board, change it from 1&2 to 2&3 and than back to 1&2 ... The manual should explain it better with the jumper pin ... Download the manual and look it up ... Basically you need to reset the bios back to default I believe . Or else the Mboard isn't the original . I seen something similar couldn't get into the bios, try everything possible but couldn't. Found out it wasn't the original Mboard but rather a copy cat that came from china. I'm not saying this is the case with yours its just a possibility

New BIOS/UEFI settings battery, Reset settings to defaults which are safe and should give you a starting point.
You will have to look at the MOBO manual for the procedure, on mine it's a simple little red button.

And make sure the keyboard is plugged into a black USB 2.0 port in the back directly off the motherboard and not a blue USB port.

Also ensure you use an Intel rather than 3rd party USB port.

I tried the suggestion from Ben about using a different keyboard and that worked.....The one that didn't work is an old HP and the one that did work is a wireless Logitech board & mouse from my PC that is hooked up to my 55" Vizio 4K LED tv.

First I reset the Bios & put in a new battery and came up with the same result then I tried the different keyboard and it worked like it should.

So I think I see a new keyboard in my future.....And thanks again everybody for your help in fixing my problem!
