Quite possible. The issue in computing has at times been described as "planned obsolescence" but in practical terms when a product is no longer produced or sold there is no money coming in to keep support or pay programmers to update software. Progress in technology makes changes and not everything keeps up with it, sometimes the go-back machine doesn't work. One item I have on a couple of older Notebooks is a PCMCIA card slot and an Express Card slot [similar items] for which no software is available for running on Win10. I can recall times in building computers in a shop where the computing speed was too fast in the boot process for the HDDs available, had to set the BIOS to show the full boot process so as to allow the HDD to get up to full speed/spin-up in time for the OS to load, CPUs were getting faster.
