There are several programs to "adjust to new hardware"

The only free ones were from paragon. There is linux based free paragon boot media which supports adjustments up to and including win8. So that should work for your two win7 OS.

If you want something more recent - to adjust win7/8/8.1/10 to new hardware, you could try the giveaway of O&O DiskImage PRO 11.

Download and install it. Get your free license, Tell it to create boot media.

Then boot up that media and use this module ( click "Change Computer Properties") .
Click the button that says Load , and browse to the Windows folder of the OS that needs adjusting.
Make sure the four boxes are ticked.
    Then click the Change button

    Thank you everyone

What i would like to do is try to use the "old" systems disks on the new hardware (because I have a lot of applications I would like to use before I have reinstalled all of them on the new system !)
... the "old" systems disks, when booted on the "new" hardware fails

    Hello
My "old" (10 yea rs) computer crashed (motherboard and processor) but the system disk is still readable
I had a new computer built with the latest hardware
When I sttart to boot from the "old" system disk, after a few seconds, I have a "Blue Screen Of Death" (I have no time to the message !)

The problem is probably that the new hardware is completely different from the old one

Is there a way to boot the old system so I could at lease get back some data ?

Thanks for your help Have a good day
I have restored an hdd to different hardware with a program called Acronis Universal Restore. I had the universal restore burned to bootable disk. When old hdd is in new machine I boot the universal restore disk from boot menu and go through its menus. It will try and boot the windows from the hdd but install new drivers to try and let it run with the new hardware.
