"The iso on microsoft site for media creation tool is still 17134.1 which I think is day one version still? "

It will stay on the initial release version until the next version. Just use that one to create ISO media, then check the box, as shown below, whether you're using the ISO or USB method to upgrade. That will bring you to current version, no matter when you decide to upgrade manually.

I use the Windows Update MiniTool 20.12.2016 it's a great little program and much faster than the built in updater.

Actually, MS have recently updated the ISO for 1803. If you use the Media Creation Tool to download it today it installs a base build of 17134.112.

Microsoft only occasionally update the ISO you download, rather you should install the base version and download the latest cumulative update to get the current build. You can either choose to check for updates during the install, or do so in Settings > Update & Security after the install is complete. Either way, you'll end up on the latest build 17134.165.

If you have a lot of machines to update and wish to save downloading the cumulative update each time (or need to install on a machine that doesn't have internet access) then you can get a standalone installer for the latest cumulative update as a .msu file (there are two versions, 32 and 64 bit). Run this after completing the install.

If you use the Media Creation Tool to make a USB there's enough space left on the USB to put the standalone update on it as well. See the links in this post to get the standalone version(s) from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

I downloaded the Media Creation tool yesterday and used it to make en-gb (English International) media, then used it to do a clean install. It installed build 17134.112.

Ya you have to update during the install or update it afterward, Microsoft does not add updates to the Iso file.

I always update after the install.

How do you know this ? What told you the 1803 Iso File from Microsoft and choosing the German language had all the latest updates ?

My version of 1803 on my Z170 is OS Build 17134.165, is that what this German Language Iso file said it is ?

For clarity, MS do occasionally update the iso, usually when it is necessary to ensure later cumulative updates will install correctly. There have been instances where cumulative updates would not work properly if base sub-version was lower than 17134.112.

Unfortunately for me MCT Spanish version is still 17134.1
    Any ideas?

I downloaded English Version MCT from HERE and it's also v17134.1
    What gives?
Are you sure MCT was updated?
