    Windows 10 x64 repair loop

Hello. i have a windows 10 x64 machine here. and it currently just loops. it shows automatic repair and trying to restore previous version real quickly and then it reboot again. i tryed booting the win10 iso and repair from there. it tells me i can find the repair log in this location "$windows.~bt/NewOs/system32/logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt" but i tryed looking in that location but in the $windows.~bt there is no NewOs folder. so i cant find this log. i also tryed to check C:\windows\system32\Logfiles\Srt\srtTrail.txt but that file has no new records. i already rebuild mbr etc how should i proceed from here?

Try Macrium Reflect's Fix Windows Boot Problems capability.

Download KYHI's Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk and burn it to a flash drive. Boot it and run Macrium Reflect. Follow above directions to see if it will fix the Windows boot problem. Has done so for me on numerous Windows 10 systems.

    Hi,

it didnt realy help. i think it broke more then it repaired.
first it continued to try to boot windows but it was stuck in a repair loop.
now it immediately comes with an error code 0xc000000f.

also macrium reflect did not detect an windows install so i added one Fix Windows boot problems -> Add(cause it didnt find anything. but i think that broke more then it repaired)

    how should i continue now?
i think i first need to get it to boot to windows again correctly. once i have that. i can try to fix windows itself

I would use KYHI's rescue ISO to create a flash drive then boot that. Open a command prompt and run, in sequence:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    SFC /scannow

If any errors, run them up to 3 times until no errors are found. Then try Macrium again, see if finds the WIndows 10 boot entry. If yes, go ahead and have it fix it.

It could also be an error lock up. Try also doing a power drain and then try again. It happened to me long time ago.

Right, forgot about that. use the following if your Win 10 drive is B (where the \Windows directory resides). If not, use what ever letter that is instead of CB.

    Dism /Image:C:\ /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
    Dism /Image:C:\ /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    SFC /scannow
    /Offwindir=C:\Windows /Offbootdir=C:\

    Attachment 195427
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.14393.0

    Error: 1017

An error occurred while attempting to access the image.
For more information, review the log file.

The DISM log file can be found at X:\windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

i am booted from a live cd. dont if ur up to it but i could fire up teamviewer so you could check it out. i would definitely appreciate that. then we can then find out what exacly is wrong faster.
