Downgrading Windows Build Without Restore Point Or Roll Back Possible?

The title says all , after trying several builds i recon the 1703 to be the fastest and most reliable for my laptop , i have cloned my hard drive and willing to experiment the main aim is to not have to format and install from scratch but to rather downgrade build that has long lost its means to roll back to , any suggestions ?

You can only clean install AFAIK.

If you wish to automatically transfer programs and settings, you could try Laplink PCMover or the Easeus Todo program that's somewhat similar - both work with a disk image- BUT they are intended to transfer to the same or later build.

You would have to check with them as to the feasibility (1 off license a little expensive, but not if you consider time saved).

If you had a disk image of your 1709 build, you could restore that.

But you would have to then block the 1803 upgrade, which is possible. Eventually you would either be stuck (no updates) or need to upgrade.

I dont mind not upgrading since this is a clone drive for that particular purpose , as for the solutions up they all seem stuck .
