A given iso will install Home or Pro- which is activated depends on the digital rights or license key.
You can't make the bootable DVD from another PC it must be from media creation tool. As soon as you turn the PC on press f2 lots of time which should get you to the BIOS to set it to boot from DVD. In most cases you can get into the PC with local admin account won't anyone tell you that password. Have you tried login to the domain with your account some are setup to cache logins
Wow... didn't expect this to be solved in one day especially on a Sunday. Anyways, I made a boot drive on another windows 10 machine with an 8GB USB stick I had laying around. Booted the trouble machine using that stick, Choose windows 10 Pro (This machine was running windows 10 Pro before). Now Im in! It even stayed activated with the previous product key.
Thank you all for the help and input! I joined this forum site today just to ask this question, thanks for making this go by so quickly! Now that I can see what kind of CPU is in it. Can anyone tell me if the specs are any good? Intel core i5-4590 CPU @3.30 GHz with 8 GB of ram (single stick), the "C" drive is a 240GB intel SSD. Any recommended upgrades right away?
Great- now before anything goes horribly wrong (and it can) defend yourself from disk failure, unbootable situations, etc etc by creating your first disk image. E.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + external storage for disk image sets.
We urge users continually to use disk imaging routinely- can give you a relatively quick and painless way to recover without a painstaking and possibly fruitless search for technical help.
It's good specs with fast see drive and plenty of ram I assume you installed a 64bit Windows or you won't be able to use all the ram
