How do I reset a computer that came with 8?

The computer I have loads with 10, but when I bought it what was installed was 8 although I upgraded to 10 but I want to know how do get it back to how it was when I acquired it while keeping 10 on there.

how do get it back to how it was when I acquired it while keeping 10 on there.
    I understand that as meaning
'I want to dual boot my computer
    - a. With Win 8 as bought
    - b. With my current Win 10 configuration'

Part of what you'd have to do would be:
    a. Create a disk image of what you have now
    b. Assuming you still have the manufacturer's recovery partition on the PC (do you?) you would perform a factory reset. This would wipe your disk and replace the content with Win 8, and your PC would boot up with Win 8 as you bought it.
    c. Assuming you can get that far, you would then have to
    - restore your Win 10 partitions, taking space from your Win 8 partition.
    - establish a dual boot configuration.

I'm left wondering what you hope to gain by doing that...?

I recommend picking one or the other. Use 8 or use 10. Do you have a reason to keep both?

You could do as Dalchina recommended, and put 10 on a VM, less tricky to maintain than dual boot. Or vice versa. Not sure about how the licensing would pan out. I had an 8 machine I upgraded to 10, put 8 on a dual-boot with it, and it got de-activated with that "already used" stuff from MS. Not sure.

As part of my first post I was asking how do I do a factory reset with a machine that came with windows 8 but I changed to windows 10. Assuming I perform that it will change to windows 8.

Depends how windows 10 was installed. If it was a clean install the recovery partition will be Windows 10 if you took the MS upgrade when it was offered then the OEM partition should be there and will install Windows 8. Whatever you do create a backup image before attempting a factory reset. I don't understand why you would want to go backwards, but that's another question.

As I can't see what's on your disk, it's impossible to tell you whether you can revert to Win 8 using what you already have on your PC. (I.e. do you still have the manufacturer's OEM recovery partition - assuming there was one in the first place).

If you do, then check your manufacturer's instructions as to how to use it.

If you don't have that partition, you would need to get a Win 8 iso, freely downloadable, and clean install Win 8.

It may be different on an ASUS PC, but on HP PCs, upgrading them to Win10 generally corrupts the Recovery information, making rollback to the previous OS impossible after that.

Problem is, you don't find this out until the Rollback fails, and then, you're left with a corrupted PC.

So, be sure to have an Image Backup handy before you attempt a Rollback.

It would help all if you can post a screenshot of your disk management window so we can the partitions, like this -

When I made this thread it's because I want my computer to get back to like it was when I got it which was fast. With every update it is less and less fast. Opening a page in a browser takes like long time. Opening programs takes a while. Typing takes a moment for the letters to appear.
