Bree - thanks for the link; I analyzed the component store and it was no.
I try to clean each update before imaging to keep the current size down and to reduce work in the future.
So do I. You can also delete all restore points too before imaging. Disk Clean-up only offers to delete all but the last one. I make a lot of system images (see my System Two below, it has 7 different images) so keeping their size to a minimum is a priority.

That's a good idea; my last image had 3 restore points and that's a lot of space and time. I will use the feature shown to delete all but one point when cleaning so one restore point will be in the image.

    No, maranna, I'm not.

Glad you and Clayton found the info helpful.

Interestingly enough, Disk Clean-up actually seems to work now. . . .

At least for Update Clean-up and Windows Defender. . . the options are gone after I ran it, anyway.

Yes, Disk Clean-up only lists 'Windows Update Clean-up' and others such as 'Previous Windows installation(s)' if it finds something to clean.

An Extended Disk Clean up doesn't check first to see what needs cleaning. It will list everything (but without saying how much could be cleaned).
