Make Windows 10 Bootloader Override Windows 7 Bootloader/GRUB

I'm trying to setup a tri-boot on a Dell Optiplex 745 (Windows 10, 7, & Ubuntu)and I can't get Windows 10 Boot Manager as the default boot menu (the blue screen boot options menu [1]: https://i.stack.imgur.com/iILBt.png., not black screen boot options menu) [2]: https://i.stack.imgur.com/afSpG.png. Just wondering which OS to install first. When I install Windows 10 first, then Ubuntu, it doesnt recognize Ubuntu and boots straight into Windows 10. If I install Ubuntu first, GRUB overrides Windows 10 Bootloader/Manager. If I install Windows 7 or try to tweak the boot menu using easybcd, it will show all options (2nd picture), but Ubuntu won't boot and gives some sort of grub error. Also, I cannot, after multiple times of reinstalling Windows 7 & 10, complete successfully the command bootrec.exe /fixboot (from either 7 or 10 reinstall disk) as access continues to be denied. And whenever I install Windows 7, it sets Windows 7 Boot Manager (2nd picture) as the default. I can see this from the command bcdedit (it will show that Windows 10 is the {default} identifier, but Windows 7 is always {current} identifier. How do I make Windows 10 the {default} and {current} Bootloader (1st picture) with all 3 OS's available to actually boot into?

Welcome to the forum. You always have to install the oldest o/s first as it won't recognise the boot of newer versions. Can you post a screenshot from disk management so we can see. A lot depends if your using gpt disk uefi or mbr

Make Windows 10 Bootloader Override Windows 7 Bootloader/GRUB

When I install Windows 7, then 10, everything works fine and Windows 10 Bootloader shows both 10 & 7 (and they both work). However, installing Ubuntu messes everything up. Is there a way to remove GRUB completely and make Windows 10 Boot Manager the default AND MAKE IT recognize Ubuntu?? That's what my two desktops refuse to do. To boot into Windows 10, I first have to select it from GRUB, which I don't want. Then it goes through Windows 10 Boot Manager and shows the 3 boot options (Windows 7, 10, & Ubuntu). Whenever I boot into the Ubuntu entry from Windows 10 Boot Manager (after creating it from easybcd) it gives the GRUB4DOS error with [ Minimal BASH -like line editing is supported...] below it. Just wondering what the heck is going on and if there's a way to get Ubuntu as UEFI, not BIOS.

Can't tell from what you have said, but if the Windows OSs are installed as UEFI and Ubuntu as BIOS, there is your problem -- as all three have to be the same.

I don't know if you can use GRUB4DOS on UEFI as I don't have a system to check that. You would do better checking on the Ubuntu Forums to see what folks there have to say.

Make Windows 10 Bootloader Override Windows 7 Bootloader/GRUB

Now after running into two different grub errors, my PC refuses to boot from anything. First I got the grub error no such partition, so I booted from Ubuntu 17.10 install disk and reinstalled Ubuntu 17.10, removing the previous installation of Ubuntu 17.10. After resinstalling, I booted once, and grub appeared normally, I think I also booted into Windows 10 from grub and ever after that, I can no longer boot period. I get this:

GNU GRUB version 0.97 (593K lower / 523264K upper memory)
[ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists the possible completions of a device/filename. ]

I've tried booting from Windows 7 & 10, Ubuntu 17.10, 18.04 & DBAN (hdd wipe) disks with no success. Now what? (trying the grub commands from this link:

How to recover lost GRUB bootloader in Linux

    didn't work).
