Windows 10 Home, version 1803 build 17134.81
Upon opening my C drive, I found a ESD folder:

Please note the Date from Setup Properties.
How can I tell which esd file is that ?
Is that the April 2018 Update (ver 1803) esd file, the same one we can get from Media Creation Tool ?

Damn....I have one to.
My guess is it came from the 1803 update....as my date says May 16, 2018. But checking my update history the date for 1803 for my system was on 4/30/2016. Opening said folder, mine is empty.
According to the size the answer would be No. The .esd file should be more than 2 or 3GB or more.
But maybe it is not showing the true total size of the ESD Folder, might check inside each subFolder.
OK. Since the esd folder is dated at 6/9/2018, I am assuming that it is for the 1803, build 17134.81.
Because I did a repair install on this computer yesterday (I should say, this early morning) and I was told to use a more up-to-date file instead of the iso file I tried to use. I agreed to do that and it started to download and install the newer file.

Using the MCT/Media Creation Tool doesn't get the latest Builds but they usually don't take long to download and install after Win10 is running. I ran into some computers today that needed updating, had/have Build 17134.1 on them and doing the Updating from Settings caused them to get up to Build 17134.48 before running the update again to get them Build 17134.81. Not too bad, couple hours each on a 12Mbps connection. Got 2 Desktops and 3 Notebooks left to do.
I allowed the installation to do the updates first.
In doing so, I get build 17134.81 when Repair Install was completed. I did not need to go to WU for further updates.
One lingering puzzle, however.
How did the esd folder get there ? Most certainly not my doing.
Obviously it was done automatically, but I have never seen this happened before.
Simple, look at the Details tab for Setup's Properties, it will have the version number. If it say 10.0.17134.1 then it's 1803.
Then look to see if you have an install.esd file in Sources. That's the actual windows install files.
I don't have an esd folder on my C: drive, but then I didn't get 1803 through windows update. I made the ISO with the MCT and used that to do the upgrade.
