    Clean install on a HDD with multiple partitions


    I want to re install windows 10 on my laptop

    Clean install on a HDD with multiple partitions-1.jpg

    How can I keep my D: and E: partitions? Do i just delete the other 4 including C: where windows is installed and make a new 1 and install windows there?

    Delete the 4 partitions but no need to make a new one - just install to unallocated space.

    As an aside, do you have a backup of data anyway. Although reinstalling OS should not affect those two partitions (be careful when deleting the other four of course). However crap can happen.

    Thanks. I think I might save my files and format the disk depending on how lazy I feel!

    Another question will I need the ethernet driver to connect to the internet or do windows10 include it?

    Windows 10 should include your Lan/Wi-Fi drivers, but I always have the driver from the manufacturer on a USB, just in case.
