I suspect you made a Recovery Drive usb on your mate's PC and used that to install Windows. When you make a recovery drive on an OEM installed version of Windows and include the system files it also includes the OEM customisations. It is effectively a 'factory reset' drive for that particular PC.

...the following are copied onto the USB recovery media as well:

    • Windows Component Store
    • Installed drivers
    • Backup of preinstalled Windows apps
    • Provisioning packages containing preinstalled customizations (under C:\Recovery\Customizations)
    • Push-button Reset configuration XML and scripts (under C:\Recovery\OEM)
Create Recovery Drive in Windows 10

You should have made a recovery drive on your Samsung before starting this. Then you could have reinstalled the custom Samsung OEM Windows. Did you ever make a recovery drive for your Samsung?

Depending on how you did the install, you may have the option to go back to your previous version of Windows.
Also, if you have ever made a system image of the old PC you could restore that. Either way, you could then make your own Samsung-specific recovery drive usb.

Go Back to the Previous Version of Windows in Windows 10

If you have or can make your own recovery drive, then use that to reinstall windows. It would not matter how old the version of Windows 10 was, it can be updated to the latest version after the install.

If, as I suspect, none of the above options are available to you, then your best option now is to make an install usb for Windows 10 as supplied by Microsoft and use that to install Windows. This will have no OEM customizations at all.

Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

Make sure you install the same edition of Windows 10 as you had originally (Home or Pro). Your PC should have a digital licence for Windows 10 on the Microsoft activation servers, so you won't need to give a key during the install. The digital licence is only valid for one edition, provided you install the same edition it should activate automatically as soon as it can contact the activation servers.
