Migrating Windows 10 OEM from old to new desktop

Hello,

I have a 5-year-old HP desktop and I want to change it to a brand-new Dell desktop.
I do not want to lose my system files or my personal files. I believe my HP desktop has an OEM version of Windows 10 home [was upgraded from Windows 7].
Can I use a mirroring application like Macrium Reflect to migrate my system to a Dell desktop and activate my windows with Dell Windows 10 OEM ?

Does Windows 10 home OEM come with activation code?

As long as both computers have run Windows 10 Home activated before, just use Macrium Reflect to image the old computer to a removable hard drive, then restore it to the new computer. It will automatically pick up the existing Windows 10 Home activation for the new computer and stay activated.

Yes, it really is that simple. Example, may daughter's laptop had a video issue that we needed to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs. We took out the SSD from her laptop, stuck it in a completely different make and model laptop - it updated some drivers and activated just fine. Her laptop was returned, moved the SSD back to it, same thing - updated some drivers and activated just fine.

Creating a backup image and restoring it to the new computer would be no different.

I just finished contacting Dell sales department through chat and they told me "it is not possible to transfer system files/OS to new computer"!
I am kind of dismayed because of the conflicting information and I am a disabled person!
I want to avoid at all cost installing every program and setting up my desktop the way I prefer it!

Did your daughter 's Windows 10 linked to a Microsoft account? Or no need to do this?

I cases of OEMs I believe that you cannot do this unfortunately.

The license is tied with the motherboard and activation will fail.

Not if both computers already have digital licenses for the same edition of Windows 10, and as long as the Windows 10 that was running on them was activated they have digital licenses.
