EFI System Partition too small for Bitlocker

If you have the standard UEFI layout, you will have to take the space from the front of your C: drive partition (250 MB). There will be a small MSR partition that does not show up in disk management, you will have to move that over to the right, up against the new starting location of the C: drive partition. Then expand the EFI System Partition. Make sure to click the apply button. MiniTool will restart the computer to shrink the C: drive partition. The operation occurring when the computer reboots will look scary, but don't worry about it, it will do what it is supposed to do.

I have this exact issue where by my EFI System partition is 260mb and I need it to be 350mb for Bitlocker to work and I have a 16mb Partition (Assume it's MBR) in between the EFI and C:\windows partition where I will need to take some of the space from.




Can someone or @NavyLCDR expand on this with maybe some more instructions please? I am using MinitTool but can use any other tool

The 16 met isnt mbr as your disk is gpt. It should be simple as you have over 500 meg unallocated so move c to the right into the free space and move all others to right then expand as needed

Should I delete the 16mb then?

And how do I move the C drive into the 500meg of unallocated space? (I assume this will then give me 500meg before the C drive instead of afterwards?)

I just need to know what I need to do with the 16mb partition please?

I will try backing up using Macrium as you suggest, hoping the free one will do the job.

The diskpart command works a treat. I don't think there's a need to back it up if you can create it that easily.

I've made mine 130mb, just so that it fills the whole of the empty space.
