    Problem - Win E 64Bit | SysPrep | Ghosting


    I install Windows Education 64Bit and than I enter Audit Mode, I change all the stuff the way I wanted it to be put on other systems. I launch my SysPrep back up the image. I booted it back to check it took and sign in with a local user no change. I join the computer to our domain and sign in as a domain user and nope no change and the background was back not set like I did in the main profile. I try different things and still the effect don't seem like it working. I even went to the most basic command to just see if the profile will copy over. Still nothing, nope.

    So I'm pretty much at a lost of what to do now. I do have the correct code but no good things as I been seeing not working.

    When you enter in Audit Mode, you are signed in as the local Administrator account. Once you use Sysprep to exit Audit Mode, the Administrator account you were previously logged into gets completely erased, as if it was never logged into. That's why the user account specific settings, such as desktop background, do not stick.

    You are correct, but the local Administrator account should have transferred all the content to the Default account during Sysprep with the profile copy field to be set to true. Which it was thus the issue, it didn't do it transfer the information to the Default user account.

    Why would it be the way to setup the look and feel of what the Admin wants for all user to have if they just delete all the options that make it up the Look and Feel the Admin want than just delete it? I mean the main purpose CopyProfle is that no? If not what else do I need to do or alter to get the same effect.

    I'm not familiar with the copy profile field setting. I've only used Audit Mode to prepare a computer to give away/sell.
