    1709 or 1803

With all of the posts about troubles with the 1803 version, is it even worth it to install the new version? I have 1709 and am enjoying it. I have read about the add ons and deletion of the different things in 1803 and none of the new add ons I would even use. What is the overall consensus about 1803?

If everything is working for you on the version you are running currently and next Windows version does NOT bring anything new, relevant or imperative to your workflow, you should wait with the upgrade at least 3 months, preferably 6 months. 1803 contains quite a few bugs and glitches still. I'm still waiting for a few bug fixes, but all they have come up with is fixing HoloLens, which I currently have absolutely no use of. And the full HL experience is still very buggy (still has a lot of known issues), so there's still a lot to fix.

1709 is very stable and reliable.

Hope this post helps save your day before it's too late.

    Hi,
Indeed nothing more than more bloat bugs in 1803 so unless you have 2 different drives to use both on stick with 1709 for a while :)

    Madness,

I agree with SliceNDice above. You have until April 2019 to bite the bullet and update to Ver 1803 so there's no reason to rush.

    Hi,
I doubt seriously MS will support 1709 that long 4-2019 :)

FCU had a similar number of posts when it was released. I personally have had no issues with AU so far.
