    Hi I have been trying to update the following for weeks and weeks now with no luck • 2018-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4056892). It has tried to update this 21 times and states awaiting restart. can anyone adivse me how to get this annoying update installed or how to get rid of it once and for all.

    Hi, this seems to be an older update. It did cause some people some problems.

    No Luck


    thanks for the help but I am no further on. I have downloaded and installed the following updates KB4103714 and KB4132650 and have re-started the laptop but when I check, it says restart is needed. This is getting tedious now so any further help will be much appreciated.

    May 21, 2018—KB4103714 (OS Build 16299.461)

    Please check the threads in the News section for the relevant updates for any info. I'm still on 1709.

    However, when I had that happen to me some months back, I uninstalled the update in question, then manually installed it.

    That a restart is still flagged has for some updates where this was reported, not actually meant that anything is amiss.
