I have updated my acer laptop with the 1803 may update and now I get the error
C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check to make sure the disk is properly inserted.
I have tried every option to restore to a previous version but it won't. I am now stuck with a basic desktop showing that error. Any help for a novice please.
You could try and do a reset... Settings/Update & Security/ Recovery....
Try a repair install first or revert to the previous version since these options keep your programs and settings.
I cannot get past any of the blue instruction screens to restore or do anything. It just keeps going back to original blue screen with choose your keyboard
Press Esc to see if there is an option to abort the installation else turn the PC off using the power button.
Always make a backup image of your installation before major updates like this using a program like the excellent free Macrium eflect.
