Windows 10: Clean install W10 on W7\W8.1 dual boot system with two drives

Clean install W10 on W7\W8.1 dual boot system with two drives

I currently have PC with dual boot, running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on individual SSD.

I have three drives as follows:
    Disk 0: Win 7 (SSD 512 GB)
    Disk 1: Win 8 (SSD 512 GB)
Disk 2: Data Storage (HDD 2TB)

Windows 7 is installed on one SSD with Volume Label as Windows 7, and Windows 8.1 is installed on the second SSD with Volume Label as Windows 8.1

I like to do a clean Windows 10 install on Windows 8.1 SSD. In the end, I still need a dual boot, with Windows 7 or Windows 10

I have already created windows 10 installation DVD Media.

Your assistance in helping to install windows 10 would be much appreciated.

I was able to do a clean windows 10 install using USB flash drive, on Windows 8 drive. But, was not able to get the dual boot working. I could see the Windows 7 as disk drive only.

I then opened an elevated ("run as administrator") command prompt and ran the following from Windows 10:

    BCDBOOT D:\Windows /addlast /d

Where D:\Windows is the Windows 7 drive. I am now able to boot into Windows 7 or Window 10 using the boot manager console.

I can boot into Win 7 / Win 10 without any issue. But, I cannot see any Reserved Partition in the disk management.

Is the windows 10 installation good?

That`s great, you don`t need it, I never use a SR partition.

Personally, I would have unplugged the other 2 drives before installing W10
