All of this holds true if the BIOS is set to UEFI, if Legacy no. All this has been stated by Caledon Ken and Cerberus before. Just showing the official MS documentation for UEFI requirements.

Since Partition Wizard and MiniTool are the same thing, I can assure you MiniTool will convert MBR>GPT and GPT>MBR in-place, no data loss. And will do it in seconds. If it is the Boot drive being converted, MiniTool will tell you it needs to restart to complete the operation.

Oh ya PW will for sure. There`s no debating that.

I`ve been using Macrium Reflect for years ( the free version ) and I`ve never seen a way to use it to manage partitions.

Watch this video then tell me you cannot use Macrium to resize the partition. You probably just use it for backup/Restore but Macrium can do the job as good as any partition manager provided you know what's you doing:

I never said you can`t :) and you are right, I only use it to create images and restore Windows if I need to. My OS drives are only 1 partition, so I have never had any use for Macrium to manage partitions.

I said I didn`t think it could manage partitions, you can re read reply #36 I never said it can`t.

And I said I`ve never seen a way to use it to manage partitions because I never tried to use it for that purpose.

I use Partition Wizard to manage partitions.

I hope the OP can use the video you posted to fix his issue :)

Yes, I apologize that I misquoted what you said.
Even though lots of people have high praise for MiniTool Partition Wizard, I am reluctant to advise the poster to install anything that he/she only uses once, taking unnecessary space if they've already have the software installed in their PC which can do the same job, and in this case It's Macrium.

Besides being a good Backup/Restore software, Macrium can swap/resize partitions from the backup image or from one disk to another, more efficient and safer than PWM because you are not touching the original disk/Image. So when advising people to use PWM, we should also advise them to make a Backup image first before messing with partition(s).

Macrium can also move/resize the EFI partition with ease while PWM cannot unless you perform multiple operations ie. delete the partition, move other partition(s) then re-create it. This will take longer to perform compare to using Macrium.
In addition, Macrium can also be used to convert Windows from GPT->MBR->GPT with ease with proper disk layout.

I may be missing something, but there was talk here of converting the drive from MBR>GPT, or vice-versa. That is not re-sizing partitions, or moving them. Two totally different scenarios. Macrium, to my knowledge, cannot convert the drive MBR>GPT, or GPT>MBR. Please correct me if I misunderstood.
