    Thanks. I'll try that.

I still don't know exactly what worked for BRAC.

My thread is here. But I haven't seen many successful tips in any thread on this forum or other forums, so I just stopped in here at this thread as I noticed some success. :)

PS: I started updating specs to the problem computer. I have a few.

What probably worked for me was eliminating all the misbehaving drivers from the Drivers directory via either an uninstallation of the concerned devices or manually renaming the drivers so that the Upgrade process isn't interrupted by incompatible drivers. That was my only option since trying to fix the rogue drivers by methods suggested by zbook didn't unfortunately work out (in my case - you maybe lucky).

But as zbook recommends, it's better to fix the drivers beforehand in that you'll have a stable system prior to attempting an Upgrade.B:)

It seems everything's working fine so far after the upgrade. I think I'll mark the topic solved. Hoping I don't have to come back with any after-upgrade problems (fingers crossed).

    Thanks again zbook.
If I do run into any issues, I think it's best to continue here in this thread (although marked solved) instead of opening a new one.

Once the drivers are updated and the antivirus of choice is in use:
    If not already done:
    a) create a brand new restore point
    b) update the backup image
    c) run the Dell website full diagnostic tests for a baseline
(With all of the above you should have the bases covered)
