Windows 7 had it's own N editions too. But if both PCs have the Windows Media Player, Groove Music or Films & TV you can forget about all that, you don't have any N editions. Those features are only available after installing the optional Media Feature Pack for N Editions. It had to be mentioned though, some reader of this forum do have N editions.

Unfortunately, they have different editions. Mine's a Pro and my brother's laptop has a Home edition. But both are version 10.0.16299 and x64-based.
That's the Fall Creators Update, 1709. If you follow NavyLCDR's instructions and tutorial links in post #2 you'll get the install media for the April 2018 Update, 1803. This media has both Home and Pro in it, so you could just swap the drives then do a clean install of Home on your brother's and Pro on yours.

Ah, cool! Then it's really just the standard stuff. Download Win 10, flash it on a usb and then while installing I just choose if I want the Home or Pro edition?

Maybe a noob question also: I can use the same usb with the same flashed Win 10 on both laptops, right? I don't need to flash the usb twice, I guess.

Here is a tutorial on how to create the USB boot media to install Windows 10.

In fact on newer machines, those built for Windows 8 or later, Setup should find an embedded OEM key in the firmware and use that to choose the correct edition without having to ask you. If not, then yes - just chose Home or Pro as appropriate for each machine.

Microsoft's Media Creation Tool can make the USB directly if you want, or you can make an ISO and flash that to the USB. Either way, it will contain both the Home and Pro editions. One download will do for both, as long as the install on both machines is the same 'bits' (32 or 64).

    Hello again!

Sorry for the delay, work, life, etc.

Thank you for the help. Everything worked out fine. I'm already using the new laptop.

But, I think there is one problem that I'm not sure if it's related to the installation of Win 10. From time to time, let's say one hour to every two hours, I simply lose my wifi connection. Doesn't matter what I do, it never reconnects and then I have to restart my laptop.

I already tried windows troubleshoot, but, as excepted, it didn't find any problems. How can I fix this? Is this related to the reinstallation of Win 10?

Should I create a new thread for this issue?

    Thanks again! :)

Yes, that would be best. But first search TenForums for '1803 Wifi disconnect solved' threads, there are always a few cases like this after any Features Update. Here's one...

Ah! I have one last question.

I had to use my external hard drive (where I had some tv shows inside) for the bootable usb with Win 10. Unfortunately, I didn't have any bigger usb size.

Is it possible to make it a normal hard drive again without formatting (and not lose my original content)?
