Install gone BAD! Can't boot to USB anymore to install Win 10 fresh

A friend gave me a PC with 2 internal hard drives, one being partitioned. I purchased a brand new Win 10 Pro license and want a clean start. I downloaded Win 10 to my USB jump drive and rebooted. I was unable to install due to "the selected disk has an MBR partition table". So, I found this youtube video: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk has an MBR partition table - YouTube

I followed the instructions, namely....
Ran "diskpart"
Selected each disk, 1 and 2
Did a "clean" for each
Did "convert GPT" for each

Now when I reboot I can't even boot to the USB drive anymore. Some errors on the black screen....

For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.1.1.3
Check cable connection!
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE Rom.
Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or insert boot media in selected Boot device and press a key

I made sure my USB drive (with Win 10 installer) is in and hit a key. Same error.

I rebooted and went to boot menu and made sure USB was set for first boot sequence.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I can't boot off my USB drive anymore so that I can run my Win 10 free install!

My goal:

• Remove any partitions that were created in the past
• Boot to USB install drive
• Install Win 10 on my SSD drive

Can you help???

Open the BIOS.

Try UEFI Hybrid (wih CSM) and UEFI Native (without CSM)
Try turning off secure boot.

Thanks. I have an older ASUS G750J that had Win 7 on it before I screwed everything up.

So in my "Aptio Setup Utility", under "Boot" tab:
Launch CSM set to [Enabled]
Launch PXE OpROM policy set to [Enabled]
Boot Option Priorities; Option #1 is my USB drive

In my "Aptio Setup Utility", under "Security" tab:
Platform Mode set to "User"
Secure Boot set to "Disabled"
Secure Boot Control set to "[Disabled]"

I can't find the options you suggested. Any ideas? Thanks!

Other steps that can be tried:
1) try USB 2 or USB 3
2) try another bootable USB flash drive:
Windows 10 iso build 1803: Download Windows 10
3) try booting using Memtest86+ version 5.01 or Ubuntu/Linux

Thanks. I think in the process of running "clean" command I did it agains my USB flash drive too! DOH! Sorry. I'm going to try and recreate an installation USB drive then hopefully it'll work better.

What did you use to make the USB flash drive with? I'll bet Rufus. The USB flash drive needs to be formatted with FAT32 and the partition marked as active.

I had to use my mac to re-format the USB drive to FAT. Then I'm taking the windows ISO to create bootable USB, following this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhgjqbq_zYA.

I don't know what Rufus is.

Make sure it is FAT32, and the partition is marked as active (although active is not required to boot in UEFI mode). Also, did you extract the contents of the Windows 10 ISO file to the flash drive (files and folders)? Or did you just copy the ISO file itself to the flash drive? You need to copy the contents inside the ISO file to the flash drive.

Thanks for your reply. I followed the instructions in that youtube video. (Because I'm creating the USB drive from Mac.)

Now my USB drive is supposed to be bootable with the install files. (Not the ISO.) I went into my boot settings and "Boot Option #1" is my PNY USB flash drive. I reboot but get this error....

Why is this happening? My USB drive is plugged in.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)
