Thanks Bree. I copied your example as reference and do realize things like he drive letter and # for type of OS may be different, now.

WinReducer, I have heard of it and its like but I haven't tried it. I instinctively avoid using third part tools to customise windows installs, too much room for introducing bugs of their own making. I don't even use tweakers like Winaero or desktop 'enhancements' like Classic Shell. Such things can come back to bite those use them, too often a Windows 10 'problem' in these forums turns out to have some non-MS 'tweaking' as the root cause.
For customising windows install I defer to @Kari who is an expert on using Microsoft's own methods and tools for this purpose.
For my part sticking to the 'stock' Windows 10 as supplied by MS seems to be a winning strategy. My main PC has never had any problem with windows updates, even though starting life as an OEM Windows 7 then progressing through the free upgrade to 1507 followed by updates to 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709 and now 1803.

Brief attempt to understand DISM for .ESD
If you do not wish to pursue this it’s ok but I wanted to understand what I was doing;
This is the command for .WIM I believe:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
For .ESD it is the same with some additions..
I am trying to figure what comprises the second part; is it pasted, is it typed or is it extracted from the .ESD folder in the stick or ISO then pasted?
To use DISM with .ESD the following is added to the main command above; /Source:esd:E:\Sources\Install.esd:6 /limitaccess
Is this second part taken from the mounted .ESD folder, in either the ISO or the stick or is more typed in??
I understand the string that gives me the number for my OS-that much is ok.

It is good that you are being cautious and want to understand what you are doing before you start.
The dism restorehealth command can use either a .wim or a .esd as the source. The command line you gave above is what you should use if the esd install media (usb or mounted ISO) is on drive E:
Note that the index number 6 specifies Windows 10 Pro in the 1803 install media, if you have Home the index number for 1803 is 1. These index numbers can change with each new version. Different numbers were used in 1709 and different again in earlier versions.

flashdrive ISOFor example, if you have the 1803 install media created by the MCT on a USB and that USB has the drive letter E: the command (for Pro) would be:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:esd:E:\Sources\Install.esd:6 /limitaccess
...To find the correct index number use this Dism command:
dism /get-wiminfo /wimfile:E:\sources\install.esd
