    Spring Update edition (test) problem with multiple languages

    Hi there
    I've been testing spring update edition -- I know it's not out officially yet - but this is a strange error that I'm sure won't be addressed.
    I have base GB edition installed with additional Language pack Icelandic.

    When switching between languages (need to re-boot and login again) language switch doesn't work 100% -- there's loads of stuff that appears in one language and a lot of other stuff that appears in the other one e.g on the menu etc. - This happens whatever language you install a program or application in even changing region, locales and options to ensure these don't get copied from wrong location etc.

    Shouldn't happen -- should be one language or the other one except for programs installed in a specific language where language choice is given.

    Cheers

    Yep, this is an issue I have had ever since Windows 10 was released.

    I use US-English as system base language, but I do use Finland as my location. I also use Finnish and Swedish in applications as MS Office.

    NOW, what this causes is that I have English, Finnish and Swedish all over the place in my system. I want everything to be in English(US) in the system, but nope, Windows decides to display whatever it wants. Most of these issues are within StoreApps however, and I am not that heavy user of those anyways.

    Another issues is that I get the freaking language-bar every now and then when Windows decides I need a new language pack or an update to an old one. So now I have Language Bar profiles for English(US) with Finnish keyboard, English(US) with US keyboard, English(UK) with UK keyboard, Finnish(FI) with Finnish keyboard and Swedish(SV) with Swedish keyboard (which is essentially the same as Finnish keyboard).

    This is so frustrating!

    Have you tried installing the English - International version of windows, this may be better suited to language variance than the US

    No, but that makes absolutely no difference to Windows behaviour, since that version only contains the localized language packs on the installation media, rather than as download content only. It still installs all those language packs and keyboards, the source of those packages is just different.

    I have exactly the same issue with Finnish Windows (which I don't like by the way). Windows behaves exactly the same.

    Hi there

    @slicendice

    English GB has same problem -- It would be interesting for someone say from Belgium who installs both Dutch and French without English to see if this behaviour is the same !!

    This happens too when I'm logged on in English. :

    Yes, that is so frustrating. All apps should use default language, defined as the OS language. But it does NOT.
