Trying to set up multiboot but Windows 10 won't boot my Windows 7 Cd

I have Windows 10 installed on old Lenova laptop. The revert to Windows 7 is no longer present so I'm trying to install a copy of Win 7, from my original CD, to a new partition so I can multi-boot between Win 10 and 7.

When Windows 10 boots with the Win 7 CD in the drive it ignores it. I've set bios to boot first from CD and USB before Windows 10 but it makes no difference. There is no UEFI option showing in my bios. After hours of searching the net on the issue I've tried to suggestions and restarted Win 10 numerous times to try to see where the Win 10 UEFI settings can be disabled/enabled, and am unable to see that option anywhere. The "change how Win 10 boots" does not show it like i see in the images on the help info that I found.

Don't know what to try next. Thanks for your help

    Hi jamesd1.
Did you try searching the forum with "dual boot uefi"? I found several threads that might be useful for you.

Post image of existing partitions so we can check if current install is legacy bios or uefi.

Also, you have to turn off secure boot to boot Windows 7 in UEFI.

After my last visit to the bios I manged to get the boot menu up with options listed for my CDROM drive. However, it looked at the drive on two tries and said there was not OS on the drive.

    CD is good

Next, put the win 7 cd in another computer to make sure it was good. It booted to the win 7 install screen so its's good. So computer is in legacy mode apparently but won't boot win 7.

I updated the bios, though I thought I had done it years ago. Another trip to bios to reset boot priorities and I got it to boot to the win CD. Thanks.
