AMD update confusion

    Does not install the drivers. I know the drivers are causing the slow boot. Without them I have no option except to go back to Windows 7.
    So, which drivers is it working now with ? Basic MS drivers ?

    AMD update confusion-image.png


    Windows update installed the original drivers. The download from AMD loads other stuff, not the driver. If I try to update them it says they are the best drivers. Totally lost.

    Check properties for every driver, should show version and date.

    AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M Series is 15.201.1151.1008

    AMD Radeon HD 6620G is 15.201.1151.0

    I tried this one and it loads Catalyst Control.

    I am now using Basic MS drivers. And boot time is great. Tried everything AMD had and it just didn't work. I also turned of driver update in windows to prevent it from installing the old AMD drivers. Here is the link:
