Well, this is what I see when I try to boot into the media created by the MCT for Windows 10. I selected the 32-bit architecture, but everything else was left on the default setting. The USB device has an MBR partition table, and the MCT process seemed to complete successfully.

I'm not really sure what to try next.

Edit: I'm currently trying the MCT with the 64-bit architecture, just to see what happens.

64-bit media doesn't boot (as I was expecting, but I had to try!)

Alright, trying the 32-bit media again, following the advice to try running the Installer again after the first time I get the Error code: 0x80070570, I still get the error on subsequent tries.

At what point of the setup process do you get the error?

When the error comes up, can you follow these directions and attach the log files to this thread? We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. Solved - Windows 10 Forums

Probably hardware error. Use different flash media. Test it by installing other computer. Test memory using memtest. Check ssd for errors.

Different way to make tablet usable: install OS in virtual environment, sysprep it. Make a disk image in VM using Reflect. Restore image on tablet, try if it starts.

    Or put it into trash.

I get the error at the "Getting files ready for Windows (7%)".

I can't attach xml files here, so I'll paste their contents:

I was able to fix this most recent problem by using a different USB drive as the Windows install media.

I'll now mark this thread as Solved. Thank you!!

So it was corrupt install media after all.
That's reassuring, you'll not be worrying about a lurking hardware fault.

I never could get a 64-bit version of Windows to be recognized as a bootable device, even after trying a different USB drive.
